A Long Time Coming

November 10, 2016, Path of the Turquoise Warrior was released to the world, it was my debut book as a writer and since then I've learned much about the literary world. It's a hard place to navigate but the rewards are amazing.

In the last four years, I've networked, grown as a writer, met some really amazing writers including some very famous ones - Sherman Alexis, Margaret Atwood, R.L Stine, Jamie Ford, Nicholas Butler, Denise Sweet, Miranda Paul and so many more wonderful wordsmiths, too many to name actually, but all gifted and I feel truly blessed to know them all - I attended many writers conferences, even travelling as far as Los Angeles, CA.

This past year, the world as we knew it has changed. In March a pandemic was announced and we were all homebound and for those who are immunocompromised like myself, we still are.

This pandemic and being isolated had many people scrambling to find some normalcy, myself included. I work for Public Health as my day job, writing was always something I did on the side as time would allow. Being completely immersed in the global pandemic on a daily basis can be a very lonely place especially when you are working at home without the constant companionship of your Public Health coworkers. I knew for my personal wellbeing I had to find a pleasant distraction, so I took on the task of finishing a Children's Picture Book that had haunted me for many years.

Well it's almost November, and this morning I had approved the proof of my debut Children's Picture book, Little Sparrow's Cloak of Many Feathers. I will be releasing it on November 11, paying homage to my beloved father, who would have turned 85 years old this year.

In the next few days there will be more information I will be sharing with you about the book launch and details on acquiring a copy of the book for yourself. So stay tuned, there's going to be some fun times to be had by all, very soon. Stay safe and we'll be seeing you soon (virtually),
